چکیده
Biomaterials and their surfaces regulate the biological response ultimately quality of healing at a possible site implantation. The physical, chemical topographical properties implants' play decisive role in integration process for immediate loading long-term success. Since this level interaction nano-dimensionality is basically entailed, bio-functional nanostructured composites either as filling/cement or coating to metallic implants are required. This study shows possibility synthesizing two phases titanium phosphate (? ? polymorphs) enriching them with silver nanoparticles strontium. More importantly, Ag-Sr-enriched ??titanium induced grow on commercially available alloy (Ti-6Al-4V), widely used orthopedic dental implants, under highly controlled conditions. Structural microscopic studies, using XRD, HRTEM SEM altogether confirm resultant enrichment strontium an average particle size around 6 nm. Using confocal laser scanning microscopy, surface roughness was measured found lay interface between nanosized microsized topologies. Ion release assessments showed that presence rate ions could be beneficial terms decreasing accompanied cytotoxicity usually encountered high concentrations release. Antimicrobial cell proliferation assays have proved has improved antimicrobial properties, while controlled.

Alternative technique for calcium phosphate coating on titanium alloy implants
As an alternative technique for calcium phosphate coating on titanium alloys, we propose to functionalize the metal surface with anionic bath containing chlorides of palladium or silver as activators. This new deposition route has several advantages such as controlled conditions, applicability to complex shapes, no adverse effect of heating, and cost effectiveness. A mixture of hydroxyapatite a...
متن کاملCharacteristics of Biomedical Beta-Type Titanium Alloy Subjected to Coating
Beta-type titanium alloys used in biomedical applications have been developed all over the world. In particular, Ti-29Nb-13Ta-4.6Zr alloy (TNTZ) is one of beta-type titanium alloys for biomedical applications that has been developed by the authors in Japan. Although TNTZ is composed of non-toxic elements such as niobium, tantalum, and zirconium, it still lacks bioactivity, which is the ability ...

Preventing infection is one of the major challenges in total hip and joint arthroplasty. The main concerns of local drug delivery as a solution have been the evolution of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the potential inhibition of osseointegration caused by the delivery systems. This work investigated the in vitro drug release, antimicrobial performance, and cytotoxicity, as well as the in vi...

this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...
Comparison of Various Properties between Titanium-Tantalum Alloy and Pure Titanium for Biomedical Applications
The mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of the titanium-tantalum alloys together with pure titanium are comparatively studied for biomedical applications in this study. The experimental results confirm the previous theoretic investigation that tantalum has a potential to enhance the strength and reduce the elastic modulus of titanium alloys at the same time, and ind...
